New Clients

  • Must complete the New Client Inquiry Form and submit it prior to any services being scheduled or purchased.  
  • It is highly recommended that new clients order the "Deep Clean Package" for your first cleaning appointment.  This is to
    ensure that your home is ready for ongoing cleaning services, as well as to give new clients a chance to "test drive" our service,
    prior to reserving an ongoing schedule for cleanings.
  • Must have email access to receive business correspondence, choose customized chore list options, confirm reserved
    schedule, and receive email invoices.
  • After first cleaning service, clients must provide a key or other method of entry to the home for all reserved cleaning dates, as
    the time of arrival of your HCP cannot be guaranteed.

Billing and Payments

  • Payment is to Shipley Domestic Services.
  • All services rendered will be billed via PayPal email invoicing.  The email invoice serves both as a receipt for services, as well
    as a method of payment.
  • All payment for services must be received by Friday of the same week of service.  For example, if you receive a cleaning on a
    Tuesday, you will receive an email invoice on Tuesday, and payment will be due by that Friday.  For this reason, instant
    payment via PayPal, through email invoicing, is preferred.  If you wish to mail a check for payment, instead of using PayPal,
    please do so by Wednesday of your week of service, or payment may not be received on time, and a late fee may be charged.
  • If you receive multiple days of service in one week, a single email invoice will be sent on Thursday evening of that week, and
    payment will be due by Friday of the same week.  For this reason, clients desiring daily or multi-day maid services, must make
    payments via PayPal through the email invoice, for instant payment receipt.  
  • Instant online payment through our PayPal email invoicing is preferred.  PayPal is very secure method of instant online
    payment, no financial information is shared between parties, and should there be a dispute, they offer dispute resolution
    services.  You only need a credit/debit card or checking account to register with PayPal.  There is no charge to you, the client,
    to send payment via PayPal.
  • Mailed payment by personal check is also allowed, if that check can reasonably be expected to arrive by Friday of the week of
    service.  Please write check to Shipley Domestic Services and include a print-out of the email invoice for that date of service.  
    Mail check to the home office address (provided to you when you first inquire as a new client).  Allow 3 business days from the
    date you mail your payment for your payment to be received.  
  • LATE FEE:  If your payment for services rendered is not received by Friday of the same week, you will be billed for a $25.00
    late payment fee.  This fee, plus payment for services rendered, must be paid prior to scheduling or receiving any further
    services.
  • If you have reserved a service date and any payment for previous services is yet outstanding, you will not receive services on
    that date.  A later date will be arranged, when payment and late fee are received.  
  • All payments must be made to Shipley Domestic Services, and not directly to your HCP.  Employees do not handle collection
    of payments.  (Cash tips or small gifts may be accepted by your HCP, should you choose to do this).  

Scheduling
  • After your first service, call or email to reserve your ongoing cleaning schedule.  
  • Your ongoing cleaning schedule, once reserved, will be held until you change your schedule, unless you have an outstanding
    balance and have incurred a late fee for a previous date of service.  In this case, the schedule you had reserved may no longer
    be available, if another client has expressed interest in the same schedule.  
  • Every effort will be made to ensure a suitable ongoing schedule can be arranged.  However, SDS cannot guarantee that your
    desired service schedule will be available.
  • Your reserved cleaning dates are guaranteed, however, the time of arrival of your HCP is not.  Due to the need for flexibility in
    scheduling, your cleaning appointment may be moved to earlier or later than usual on the day of service.  All cleaning services
    are performed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., unless other arrangements have been made.

Refund Policy
  • Satisfaction Guaranteed.  Your HCP will leave a completed checklist of all work done for each service day.  If the chores you
    ordered were not completed, or not completed to your satisfaction, you have the right to request partial refund for that portion of
    the work.  
  • Any services which have been prepaid, but not rendered, shall be refunded in full.
  • If you are due a refund, you may choose to receive credit to apply towards future purchase of services, or you may receive your
    refund via payment by check from Shipley Domestic Services, or you may receive your refund via PayPal, if you paid through
    our PayPal.  Allow 3 business days for PayPal refunds.  Allow 7 business days for mailed check refund to be received.

Privacy
  • Your personal and financial information will not be shared with anyone, under any circumstances, without your express written
    consent and signature.
  • All communication conducted online is received by Laura Shipley, Owner/Operator, and is not forwarded to anyone - not even
    your HCP - without your consent.

Discontinue at Will
  • Clients have the right to request a different HCP, if they feel the person working for them just isn't up to the job, or if they feel
    uncomfortable for any reason.  
  • Clients have the right to discontinue services at any time, for any reason.  Any services which have been prepaid but not
    rendered when the client gives notice of desire to discontinue, shall be refunded in full per refund policy.
  • Employees are given the right to quit a client they have been assigned to, for any reason.  If this should happen, you will be
    given the choice of another HCP, if one is available, or you will be refunded 100% for all services prepaid, but not rendered.
